So what is the Pylant Monitor?
The Pylant Monitor is a disposable single patient use (ETT) cuff pressure monitor. The Pylant Monitor provides visual indication of the pressure within an (ETT) inflatable tracheal tube cuff to help prevent inadvertent over or under inflation.

Pylant Monitor
The Pylant Monitor is a disposable single patient use (ETT) cuff pressure monitor.
We monitor blood pressures, intracranial pressures, abdominal pressures, PCWP, CVP what about ETT cuff pressure? Safe endotracheal cuff pressures require measurement and intervention.
The Pylant Monitor is a disposable, single patient use endotracheal tube (ETT) cuff pressure monitor. ETT cuff monitors are used to indicate the pressure within the ETT cuff to prevent inadvertent over or under inflation of the ETT cuff. The practitioner or institutional guidelines determine the exact inflation pressure used. Literature on ETT cuff pressures suggest that pressures between 20 cm H2O and 30 cm H2O are preferred to prevent under and over inflation. The Pylant Monitor is MRI Compatible.

The Clip-On Biteguard is an injection molded, polypropylene biteblock designed to protect both the patient and the equipment during medical instrumentation in the oral cavity.
Clip-On Biteguard gives excellent protection for both the teeth and instruments. Due to its clip-on technology, the Clip-On Biteguard can easily be connected over an instrument after it has been placed in the esophagus. Obstruction for the tounge is minimal.
Because of its compact design this biteguard can readily be used along side of endotracheal tubes. Clip-On Biteguard is made of a special latex free plastic mixture that gives an extra soft feeling to the patient.
Clip-On Biteguard is intended to be used in conjunction with transesophageal heart monitoring during surgery. Clinical evaluation has shown that the optimal position for this biteblock is when the outside wings are placed between the lips and the teeth. This postion will ensure that the biteblock stays in place during the entire procedure.
The keyhole shape ensures that the instrument is always located inside the block. The instrument cannot spontaneously slide out of the block and become damaged due to contact with the teeth. The use of Clip-On Biteguard protects both the patient and instrument thus decreasing the risk of injury to the patient and/or damage to the instrument.
